Eskimo Kayak Rolling Auckland ... Our staff are up-to-date with correct kayak rolling techniques and teaching styles. Although not currently a requirement for the Grade 2 certificate, we recommend all kayakers learn how to roll. Rolling boosts confidence, saves time and avoids swimming among turbulent water and rocks.
We start by assisting you through comfort and confidence routines, helping control the natural panic we all feel when upside down. Next comes progress through our tried-and-trusted methods, ensuring you roll back upright consistently and safely. You will be more adventurous in your kayak and quickly become a more capable kayaker. Through a series of teaching points, you will learn the secrets of each step to gain success.
Eskimo Kayak Rolling Auckland ... We recommend four sessions maximising likelihoods of gaining the roll; which most people do with us. Then we advise a further four ‘maintenance’ sessions to review, consolidate and improve your roll; making it ‘bombproof’ and reliable rather than just once on flat waters then forgetting it when it counts!
If you already have a roll but simply want to improve it or would like to learn a new style of roll; with or without the paddle, just let us know, we will help!
