We integrate teaching and learning into our before and after school care services. Children can join for as little as one hour to 14 days, the more they do the more we help them grow
Children and Competency
Competency is about learning classic curricular subjects before and after school focusing on participants and their symbiotic relationship with something to a particular standard.
In that sense, we approach every place, person and practice with motivational dispositions:
the need (competence),
the action (competency),
the result (competent).
Our before and after school care competency-based education measures learning rather than time; focusing less on formal assessments and more on improvements.
We also include social constructs like the energy centers of ones SHAKRA. Particularly concerned with competence is the solar plexus that covers self-control, self-worth and self-esteem.
We nurture 'being' persons; fully immersed and contempt with the present and their resourcefulness.
Overcoming challenges before and after school needs ownership, courage and talent to overcome setbacks. Completing a challenge will prove children have tested their decision-making, responsibility and actions where their competence leads to mastery through 'self-efficacy' and 'flow' in skills and knowledge.
