Bronze Qualifying Duke of Edinburgh Award
Pre-requisites: Bronze Practice.
Dates and locations: You choose.
Duration: Two days.
The Qualifying Journey is the final stage of the three step process (Training, followed by the Practice Journey/s, then the Qualifying Journey). Using the skills and knowledge gained from the training day and practice tramp, you will set off with your team to complete your first expedition. You are responsible for turning up with the right equipment and the right attitude to complete a challenging overnight tramp. Your Social Nature Movement instructor will be there to support you and offer guidance but as much as possible you and your group need to be independent.

This adventure uses experiences gained from the Bronze Training and Practice Journey. Participants have opportunities to step up and lead their team on a journey of discovery. Social Nature Movement Instructors are there to support each student’s experience and learning. All Qualifying Journeys are assessed by our responsible Assessors with notable skills, knowledge and experiences. Their role is to 'shadow' the group to determine competence during the journey for The Duke of Edinburgh Award. Social Nature Movement approves the Qualifying Journey in the participant's Online Record Book (ORB), showing the trip has been completed.
